People are Behing the Smooth Operations at DIA Airport
DIA, Denver International Airport, supports a large maintenance, train, and transportation staff to continue stable operations. These folks are the little known heros of DIA. They keep the bathrooms, trains, corridors, tarmacs, gas lines, baggage system, and carpets. Somebody has to keep up after the birds the people, the trash, grime, and associated gunk. Somebody else fixes the things as they break, keeping things running smoothly.
In my humble opinion, the operations staff at DIA doesn't just keep the place generally running smoothly, the place is a museum. I never think folks like this get enough credit, their jobs are hard, underappreciated, and basically paid for. I did these jobs too, so I notice a job well done. Let's say that these folks deserve a little credit. After the airlines, and TSA taking a care to mind the details of their scope, these guys drive it hope. You never see them, rarely hear them, but can always tell whether or not they are doing their job.
On this trip through DIA, Denver International Airport, I decided that I would make sure that I don't take these things for granted. In addition, I want to now draw your attention to some of these fine folks efforts I noticed. Their efforts speak volumes. This time, as usual, their presence, and results, were impeccable.
What I noticed:
Clean Bathrooms
- Operational Equipment
- Clean Walkways
- Shiny Floors
- Running Trains, that have clean windows
- Warm Concourses in a snowstorm
- AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, POWER PLUGS!!!
